In The City Canberra has adjusted the business so that it can respond more effectively to its many roles. In The City Canberra has a responsibility to make sure the City centre is attractive, clean and safe (ITCC Ranger); is active and involves owners, traders, event coordinators and government (Events and Projects Officer); and expresses its position on a range of policy and planning matters (CEO in consultation with the Board of Directors).

Chief Executive Officer – Jane Easthope

Jane is the third CEO to lead In The City Canberra. It is an important time for the organisation as the City centre is currently a focus of planning studies and has recently seen a refresh in the form of the City Improvements Program.

Jane is delighted to be in the role and has tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture, marketing and tourism. She has had a long association with city improvements working on behalf of government in both the Economic Development Directorate and Territory and Municipal Services. Jane performed the role of Secretariat to the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Grant, managing a government steering committee to assess the performance and future plans for In The City Canberra.

Administration Officer – Belinda Pratt

Belinda has just joined the In The City Canberra team as an Administration Officer and will be replacing Melissa whilst she is off on maternity leave.

Belinda herself is just returning to the workforce after starting her own family with a son Harry and Daughter Ella taking up her time outside of In The City Canberra.

Belinda has a background in Administration and has also worked extensively within the childcare and youth care Industry.

Belinda has a passion for accounting and accounts management and is currently studying towards a diploma in accounting and in the future would like to continue her studies to a full degree and her long term goal of becoming a qualified Accountant.

Belinda has always worked in a team environment and is excited about joining the In The City Canberra team and looks forward to the many different work challenges over the next 9 months.

Hamish Lardi – Events and Project Officer

Hamish is the newest addition to the In The City Canberra team and is enthusiastic about coming on board as the Event and Project Officer. Having received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canberra, Hamish has worked primarily within the events and marketing industry since graduation.

He is passionate about delivering highly successful events, and has previously worked on projects that include the Centenary of Canberra campaign as well as organising numerous Race Days at Canberra’s Thoroughbred Park.

Over the coming months Hamish will be planning and delivering on all of In The City Canberra’s upcoming events including Skate In The City, Christmas In The City and the new Curry Festival.

Lyndon Cox – ITCC Ranger

Prior to working at In The City Canberra, Lyndon spent a number of years working in real estate around Canberra and prior to that on the World Youth Day events for the Catholic Church in Sydney. At times taking large groups of young adults and Catholic School Groups overseas to the World Youth Day events in Canada and Germany.

Lyndon has been an avid Rugby, AFL, NRL and Cricket fan since playing junior rugby and AFL and cricket within Canberra. Lyndon Played first grade AFL for both Tuggeranong and Eastlake Football Clubs and still enjoys watching the games today and keeping fit and being involved where he can.

As a resident of Canberra for most of his life, Lyndon has developed an appreciation of all this great City has to offer. Lyndon thoroughly enjoys working with people and his local knowledge is a strength for City centre business owners, traders, residents, visitors and government service providers.
