Braddon’s bins get an upgrade

As of 1 January 2018, the management of the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy transferred from In The City Canberra to the City Renewal Authority. Views expressed in these articles may not reflect the views of the Authority.

Have you noticed the shiny new bin shrouds that hide the wheely bins along Lonsdale and Mort Streets yet?

At a cost of around $60,000 these bins have been made possible thanks to the levy paid by both commercial property owners (and some business via their rent) in the City and Braddon.

Coordinated by In The City Canberra, we’re pleased that the ACT Government has agreed to service the garbage bins because until recently there have been no bins.

In The City Canberra are also paying for and organising the installation of more bike racks in the City. Originally planned for Braddon, the bike racks are being repositioned because Government is going to place their own racks soon.
