Canberra Connect

Canberra Connect is the ACT Government’s Gateway for information, payments and services. Whether you need to renew your licence, pay a bill or obtain information about ACT Government programs or services, Canberra Connect can help.

Through the Canberra Connect Contact Centre, on 13 22 81, you can also report issues to the ACT Government related to sharps, graffiti, rubbish, broken or faulty parking meters, abandoned vehicles, damaged footpaths or roads and more.

When these type of issues are bought to the attention of our City Ranger, Nicci Foulsham, she contacts Canberra Connect and then follows up with our many TAMS contacts.

Canberra CBD Limited received the following email and the photo below illustrates the results 10 days later.

The mailboxes out the front of the old Beaurepaires premises in Lonsdale Street are attracting a lot of complaints when it rains.  As there is no paving or concrete surrounding the two mailboxes it just turns to mud when it is wet and it is very difficult to post anything without getting your feet wet.

Is it possible to do something about rectifying this?DSCbox00034

Thanks

‘Prior to opening my new Cafe, The Sour Cherry, in the Boulevard, there were serious pavement and tree problems in the public area outside my premises. I liaised with Canberra CBD Limited who advised me to call Canberra Connect. Within a week of calling the trip hazards were repaired and the dead branches in the trees removed. This was the first time I have used Canberra Connect and the speedy response was highly impressive. Thank you.’
