Have you always thought that Canberra is one of the cleanest cities you’ve been to?
Well, you would be correct.
A recent report from the World Health Organisation has named Canberra as the third cleanest capital city in the world.
In front of Canberra is Wellington in New Zealand, and Stockholm in Sweden.
Based on levels of PM – tiny pollution particles – Canberra beat out Ottawa, Edinburgh, Montevideo in Uruguay, Tallinn in Estonia, Helsinki in Finland, Monaco and Madrid as the rest of the top ten.
Coming in as the most polluted capital in the world is the Saudi capital, Riyadh, followed by Delhi in India and Doha in Qatar.
