Farewell from In The City Canberra

As of 1 January 2018, the management of the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy transferred from In The City Canberra to the City Renewal Authority. Views expressed in these articles may not reflect the views of the Authority.

After almost ten years of servicing Canberra’s CBD in so many ways, In The City Canberra (ITCC) will close its doors for the final time on 31 December 2017, handing the reins to the new custodians of Canberra’s CBD, the City Renewal Authority (CRA). As such, this will be ITCC’s final newsletter.

On behalf of the team here at ITCC, we’d like to say thank you to our Levy payers who will soon partially fund the CRA, their entrepreneurial tenants, our Board of Directors, and the city of Canberra. We’d also like to thank the Property Council and Canberra Business Chamber, the media, Assembly and government decision makers for helping us along the journey toward creating a connected city centre – one that we can all enjoy and be proud of.

Finally, I’d like to toast the efforts of my staff and team for your support, and commitment over the years to improving Canberra’s City and Braddon Districts. It is truly a great future for our cool little capital, lonely planet podium winner and OECD best place to live.

Thank you again, and best wishes for a safe and happy festive season.

– Jane Easthope, CEO In the City Canberra
