Help government assemble the 2016–17 ACT budget

The ACT Government has put out an invitation to community members, businesses and local organisations to put forward their ideas for the 2016-17 ACT Budget.

The CBD including Braddon needs increased funding for cleaning and waste management services, money dedicated to the city improvements program that fixes up broken foot paths and old pink pavers, increased surveillance at night and a trial instead of lockouts and importantly reversal of the Lease Variation Charge back to the Change Of Use Charge regime so that we can see cranes on the skyline. Any visible works are because they were approved under the old scheme. We would like to see the old buildings renewed in the CBD before government starts with sparkly and new in the park lands on the edges of Lake Burley Griffin at West Basin.

The closing date for feedback is 14 October 2015.
