Caitlin Bladin is manager of the City Renewal Authority’s activation team. Caitlin and her team are the central point of contact within the City Renewal Authority for levy payers or business operators.

Caitlin has been leading the city activation program since 2015. The City Renewal Authority, together with the community and businesses, aims to create:

  • a strong and growing 24 hour economy;
  • innovation in city design, technology, events and commerce;
  • an active, diverse street life;
  • a city that inspires pride – a city to celebrate;
  • a fun, lively, attractive, safe and accessible city; and
  • easy connections for pedestrians, cyclists and commuters.

Caitlin believes activation is about creating great public spaces for the community to enjoy.

“I love Canberra – and it is an exciting proposition to be involved in planning for my hometown.” Caitlin said.

“Throughout my career I have developed an interest in delivering public policy that is well planned, evidence based and evaluated. The policy, programs and projects that I lead are all designed with the mindset of better positioning Canberra for economic and cultural development.

The team is looking forward to enhancing the city centre with an exciting schedule of events, activities and programs already well underway and in the pipeline.
