If you have ventured around Braddon recently then you may have noticed that there are a few new restaurants that have recently opened or are in the near stages of opening. Here are a few that have caught our eye!
Grease Monkey has been converted from an old 1950s mechanic’s shop front on the corner of Lonsdale and Eloura Streets and is due to open at the end of this week.
Described as a fun burger joint with good food that’s bad (but so, so good) for you, it will offer burgers, fried chicken and old school desserts including house-made jam donuts and ice-cream sandwiches. It is home to a custom made pewter bar serving a generous variety or rotating boutique beers on tap and an exclusive selection of wines and cocktails.
If you are looking for a superior burger experience in a relaxed yet vibrant place then keep your eye out for Grease Monkey.
“Young or old, everyone loves schnitzel. However, not everyone has tasted a truly great schnitzel and we want to change that,” Schnitzel Haus.
The newest Schnitzel Haus is located on Lonsdale Street next door to Hopscotch and opened its doors this month.
There are 14 different signature schnitzels to choose from, chicken, veal or pork. Gluten free options are available and there is an awesome kids menu and activities to keep them entertained. Salads and burgers are also popular options on the menu with an extensive beer and wine selection to go with your schnitzel.
Schnitzel Haus has an outdoor area to enjoy on those sunny days.
Offering burgers, salads and wraps from locally sourced premium lean ingredients, their menu will be sure to make your taste buds dance.
Burger Hero is yet to release their opening date or their menu, but what we do know is that you can register for their launch party via Facebook.
If you are aware of any upcoming restaurants in the CBD please contact us so we can include them in future news.
